Happy Thanksgiving!

What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter? Pumpkin pi.
What do you get when the Recreation Committee lets loose with pumpkins, hay bales and cornstalks? A FABULOUSLY fashionable village! Be sure to stop into Kagawong to see us in all our autumnal glory!

Kudos to the 4elements crew for organizing and hosting the Elemental Festival last week. Activities of all sorts drew crowds from all walks of life, and from all over the province. One of the highlights was the Saturday night performance of Jamie Ward and friends. Jamie had the crowd tapping their feet and singing aloud to fan favourites and original pieces throughout the show. The president of the Jamie Ward Fan Club was overheard saying, “It was an amazing experience, yo.”

Folks at the Candy Corner celebrated the return of Luna last week, after her escapade across town. Rumour has it, she was cavorting with the Kagawong Gobble Brigade.

Speaking of the Kagawong turkeys, they’ve been spotted recently behaving bizarrely and rolling in the mud. If Team Fergmeijer were turkeys, we'd be doing everything we could to taste terrible right now, too.

Mary and Heather would like to thank everyone who contributed to their fundraising for the CIBC Run for the Cure! Between them, they raised over $2000 to go toward breast cancer research, treatment, and outreach. Well done, ladies!

Happy birthday to John B, who celebrated turning 29 last week! Rachel M is also turning 29 but we promised not to tell when, while Jamie F is celebrating today - extra pumpkin pie for the lot of you!

The library will be continuing to show movies on the big screen throughout the fall, with the next movie being shown Saturday, October 15. Check the Kagawong Facebook page to see info on all upcoming movies.

Welcome to the Scotts who are visiting this weekend from the Niagara region. Team Fergmeijer can smell the pumpkin pancakes from here!

We’ll close this week, with a traditional Pilgrim proverb: We hope your turkey is moist and your stuffing is fluffy, and when you're done eating you'll be nice and stuffy.
